They make for dramatic focal points in an evening landscape, and provide a prominent canvas to express landscape style. Unlit (and, in some cases, lit), they’re great as a footrest, drink ledge, or even an informal seat.
Above all, fire pits anchor and activate gathering spaces. Their greatest utility is in their power to bring family and friends together to enjoy each other’s company.
