As a digital marketing specialist, it's my job to stay updated with the latest trends and platforms that can help businesses grow. One of the most powerful tools that many businesses are yet to leverage fully is LinkedIn Articles. In this comprehensive guide, I will outline the benefits of using LinkedIn Articles and why it is essential for your business.

LinkedIn has more than 900 million users, and it is 277% more effective at generating leads than Facebook and Twitter. For B2B marketers, 80% of their social media leads come from LinkedIn. Despite its popularity, only three million users create and share original content on a weekly basis. This presents a golden opportunity for businesses to take advantage of LinkedIn's powerful feature, LinkedIn Articles.

LinkedIn Articles allow users to publish long-form content (up to 100,000 characters) as opposed to the regular posts that have a 700-character limit.

  1. Increase your visibility: LinkedIn Articles appear in searches within LinkedIn and on Google organic searches. The word "LinkedIn" in the URL often results in higher Google rankings.
  2. Increase dwell time: The LinkedIn algorithm values dwell time as an indicator of engagement. Longer content takes more time to read, increasing the dwell time followers spend on your company page.
  3. Become a thought leader: Regular posts have limited space for in-depth and thoughtful content. Articles provide an opportunity to showcase your expertise and authority on a particular subject, establishing you as a thought leader in your industry.
  4. Repurpose content and give it a new lease of life: You can post old, relevant, or evergreen blog content on the LinkedIn publishing platform. It may show up on Google searches, resulting in more exposure and potential leads.
  5. Reach a new audience: Creating quality, in-depth content on LinkedIn Articles makes it easy to share, increasing the likelihood of it being shared and reaching a new audience.
  6. Reach a larger audience: Publishing content on LinkedIn Articles can potentially reach millions of users, as opposed to the limited number of visitors on your website.
  7. Build stronger connections: LinkedIn Articles can help you create deeper relationships with your network. By sharing valuable content and insights, you demonstrate your commitment to helping others succeed. This fosters trust and credibility among your connections, which can lead to new partnerships and opportunities.
  8. Boost your personal brand: For business owners, executives, and professionals, LinkedIn Articles can help to elevate your personal brand. By consistently publishing high-quality content, you position yourself as a knowledgeable and reliable source within your industry. This not only benefits your business but also boosts your personal reputation and opens doors for future opportunities.
  9. Increase engagement: Unlike regular posts, LinkedIn Articles allow you to dive deeper into topics, provide detailed information, and showcase your expertise. This can result in increased engagement from your audience, such as likes, comments, and shares. More engagement not only expands your reach but also provides valuable feedback, helping you to refine your content strategy and better understand your audience's needs and preferences.

There are a few downsides to using LinkedIn Articles, one being that it's still relatively unknown to many LinkedIn followers. To address this, create a post announcing your article to draw attention to it.

To publish an Article on LinkedIn, follow these steps:

  1. Visit your company page as an admin.
  2. Click the 'Write Article' button underneath 'Start Post.'
  3. Add a headline.
  4. Add a cover image.
  5. Start writing.
  6. Drop in images or visuals to add interest.
  7. Press Publish.

LinkedIn Articles is a powerful tool that businesses should leverage to increase visibility, establish thought leadership, and reach a larger audience. Start utilizing LinkedIn Articles today to experience its benefits and grow your business.

hey Mikhail Tuknov, thanks for your advice, if I had found this article before 5-6 months, I would saved lots of money to spend on hosting, saved my energy to write a lots of content on my new website, and most importantly my time.I started publishing content before 5 months ago on my new site, but none of them are ranking well, compared to my recent articles on LinkedIn. the great things is My newly published articles on LinkedIn now started to ranking the first page and get a few hundred clicks. Now I've stopped to working on my site and started to publishing on Linkedin because my articles now rank well even I don't publish much heavy content than I had to publish on my site.Honestly, it's a great place to generate more leads and passive income. Thank you so much for your efforts!
