This drink is so good, you should start making it now. I mean, why not test it out?! And if you're looking to make this for a crowd, this Christmas Punch is very similar, but just a tad more boozy.

Why We Love This Recipe

Just like the classic mimosa, what could be easier than a co*cktail with two ingredients? We love that making this Cranberry Mimosa co*cktail is super simple, too.

You can make this with Prosecco instead for those who don't care for champagne. Either way, it's delicious, easy, and the perfect drink for the holiday season.

And for those who don't imbibe, switch to ginger ale for a refreshing co*cktail that looks just like the real thing. The kids will love that one, too!

What Goes Into This Holiday Mimosa

A bottle of Brut Champagne or Prosecco - we like Une Femme Sparkling Wine right now and you can get it at Target!

Cranberry juice co*cktail- we use the co*cktail version and not pure tart cranberry juice as it can be pretty sour.

Variations

Switching up this co*cktail would be easy as so many other things pair with it.

Adding a simple dash of vanilla adds sweetness and turns this into a Vanilla Cranberry Mimosa.

The standard mimosa signature co*cktail combines orange juice and champagne. Replace half of the orange juice with cranberry juice for a Cranberry Orange Mimosa.

Any variety of fruit juices would work, including citrus juice like grapefruit, which turns this into a megmosa! Now you know!

Add a half ounce orange liqueur to make a Poinsettia co*cktail.

How to Make this co*cktail

Dip the rim of the glass in corn syrup and then dip into colorful sugar crystals for a festive look.

Add frozen cranberries to champagne flutes, squeeze a wedge of lime over the cranberries, and drop into a glass.

Fill the flute approximately one-third full with cranberry juice co*cktail.

FAQ

What's in a traditional mimosa?

A traditional mimosa is simply sparkling wine and fresh orange juice. Many restaurants also serve mimosas with champagne.

Are mimosas healthy?

Depending on which juice you pair with the sparkling wine, mimosas can be one of the healthier co*cktails.

Is champagne healthier than wine?

It depends on the wine, but typically, champagne does have fewer calories than wine. A glass of red wine can have upwards of 150 calories versus about 100 for champagne.

Top Tips

For a virgin variety, use ginger ale. Festive for the kids at holiday parties or for those who don't drink alcohol.

Be sure to pick up cranberry juice co*cktail as regular pure cranberry juice can be quite sour. A little simple syrup will help to sweeten it up if that's what you have.

For those cutting down on sugar, the regular cranberry juice mixed with club soda is a nice drink, too.

I've actually added low calorie cranberry juice along with orange juice over the years to cut back on the sweetness of the oj. I'll definitely be trying this over the holidays❣️
